I arrived at my first client meeting imagining that I had already designed the house of our dreams. I thought Michael would draw it well so our contractor could build efficiently, and make recommendations regarding codes and structural issues. Instead Michael was able to design a house more beautiful and livable than I ever imagined. Michael created balance in many challenging areas; he allowed full walls of views while providing the shelter and comfort needed in a cold Vermont winter, he blended my modern aesthetic with my husband’s rustic style, and he refined an open floor plan that still allows privacy and acoustic isolation where needed. Additionally he shows great sensitivity to landscape, he sited the house perfectly allowing us to maximize our narrow, hilly lot. Although we never plan to leave our home we would hire Michael again if any other projects arise.
